Welcome to Turbodog!

Congratulations, you just took a first step on an exciting journey -- a practice that will inspire and help shape both your body and your life. We have seen the difference Turbodog Yoga makes, over and over again, in ourselves as well as in our students. If you practice consistently 3-5 times per week, you will find yourself growing and evolving in ways you never imagined. Your body will get stronger and with it your self-confidence. Your instincts will sharpen and so will your attention-skills. Your mind will become your ally and you will be able to make life choices that support your full potential with greater ease. You will find yourself using the tools you learn via Turbodog to mold a happier and more fulfilling life for yourself.

It is common to feel sore, sometimes staggeringly so, as your body rediscovers its strength and flexibility. It is also common to feel intimidated when you see others next to you in various advanced poses. You will learn to stop judging and comparing yourself, and instead embrace where you’re at and grow from there. This initial, challenging stage is one that we all have walked through, and if you don’t give up, it will prove to be an amazing gift. Give it at least a month and you’ll see. If you reflect back on your life you’ll probably agree that some of the most rewarding experiences you’ve had sprang from being willing to stretch outside your comfort zone. This is the same.

What is the practice like?

We make it easy to get started:
• Arrive 15 minutes before the start time of your 1st class to ensure a stress-free experience.
• Eat really light, or with enough time to fully digest, before class.
• When you arrive, you will need to fill out a brief info waiver.
• Wear comfortable workout clothing. Yoga is practiced barefoot so no footwear is needed.
• We have free yoga props, including mats, available for you to use.
• We accept cash, checks & credit cards.

Good Yoga Etiquette:
Arrive early to class.
• Stay for the whole class (if you need to leave early, be out the door before savasana begins).
• Leave footwear by the door.
• Avoid wearing scented products, perfume & cologne.
• Avoid chewing gum in class and drinking coffee before class so you can breathe better.
• Turn cell-phone off before class starts.
• Let the teacher know of any injuries or if you are, or believe you might be, pregnant.
• Keep practicing!! Soreness after practice is totally normal, this is your body awakening.

The more you practice, the better you will feel. A consistent yoga practice is recommended to receive the full benefits.
