"My mind races and wanders less, and I am less judgmental with myself.
In each practice, I give myself the time and space to focus on my own needs,
and give myself the care and attention I always offer to others."

When I came to Turbodog, I was almost completely new to yoga. I let myself be open to trying something I didn’t know I’d be good at (a leap of faith for me) and the rewards are overwhelming  For instance, I discovered that there is no “being good at yoga,” no comparison to the person next to you, no reward for touching your toes. The success is in the practice, not the outcome (a life-changing idea for me).  Yoga is a continual surprise.  I am delighted by the combo of mental and physical stretching and strengthening.  I learn something new every time I step on the mat.  Full disclosure – I cried during my first yoga class and it freaked me out but I came to understand that feeling big emotions is okay (not easy, but okay) and this is a safe place to do that. I am fascinated by this journey and am honored to be a Yoga Ambassador.  Please ask me any questions, tell me your concerns, and share your surprises and hopes.  Also, I know where the bathrooms are and whether you should grab two blocks and a strap (yes to both).
